Listen:

Well…after hours in the lab, getting lost in Delaware for 2 hours, and meeting a guy on work release from prison in Camden at Wendys, our first show is finally here.

We talk with Jamie Orlando from Omnisoul about music, inspriation, and the music industry. 2005 was a big year for the band: they got signed to a major label, grew their fanbase, and had a song on the Fantastic Four soundtrack. Their music is somewhat pop, but with a smart edge that is really going to go places.

Also, you’ll hear new music from one of the hottest hip hop crews I’ve heard in a while, Common Market. Sabzi’s production is elligance, and Ra Scion’s rhymes are next level. Don’t take my word for it though; check out what KRS-ONE has to say about these guys: “Ra Scion spits in the tradition of the conscious hip hop movement… A true soldier for the preservation of HipHop Kulture.”

Finally, you will hear new music from Zahyia. Raised in a home where the arts and music were in the air and blood, she’s been stunning national audiences for the past seven years as a show-stopping performer/vocalist where her diverse and wide-ranging talents shine. Her blend of Hip Hop, Jazz, and R&B is sure to please even the most discerning ear.

Omnisoul excerpts played during the interview (unanounced): Scare the Night, My Own, Happy Outside. All tracks were from thier first album: “Happy Outside”
